Due the hard work of the Asia Armwrestling Federation President (First Vice President of WAF) Mr. Djeembek Mukambetov, Executive Board of Asia Armwrestling Federation and with the support of WAF Executive Board, armwrestling received great recognition.

Armwrestling will be included in the Asian Games.

Protocol of Intentions

We, the undersigned, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, on the one hand, and the first vice-president of the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF), Mukambetov Dzheembek Battalovich, on the other:

– Having regard to the progressive growth and popularity of the sport of armwrestling in the world;
– Realizing the need to support armwrestling on the Asian continent;
– Foreseeing that armwrestling in the future will be a sport as an effective factor in the development of the Olympic movement.

We decided to work together to:

1. Turn on armwrestling in the program of the Asian Games.
2. It is essential to expand the geography of armwrestling on the Asian continent.
