My friend and I are constructing a gym out of old car and bus parts. I’ll post a few photos when complete. Both love arm wrestling and have plans for a table. We’ve got a huge steel beam for the legs. It’ll be retro but worth a look when done.

As promised Sknx, the first of the urban gym is complete. Four brake discs were used to complete this dumbbell. It has a super thick handle to make it extra difficult. More to follow.

MEASUREMENTS:
Weight: 40 kg
Handle diameter: 3″ (~ 7.62 cm)
Handle circumference: 9.5″ (~ 24 cm)
Length: 23″ (~ 59.5 cm)
Width: 13″ (~ 33 cm)
The measurements posted above are extracted from this message:

Measurements: Weight 40kg (But here’s where it gets interesting) Handle 9.5″ (Around) Length 23″ Width 13″
The idea of the dumbbell is to make it as awkward as possible. Once we get used to the feel it gets filled with more steel.
I’m attaching a picture of a specially built pull up bar using the same 9.5″ around bar. It adds a whole new dimension to a pull up routine.
In this next video you can see Richard Maggs’ friend – Toby Carter, using the dumbbell:

There will be more additions to gym; we’re just waiting for the scrap metal to free up. Interesting barbell with another extremely large handle currently under construction.
