” Putrajaya Armwrestling Association (PAWA) is a registered sporting association established under the Malaysian Sports Development Act 1997. PAWA is also the sole Malaysian arm-wrestling association recognized by the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF). Being the only association in South East Asia recognized by WAF, PAWA determined to foster the development of arm wrestling as a sport. Two (2) of PAWA members is currently the only two WAF recognized referee in the region and currently assisting our neighbours to follow suit as WAF members and recognized officials. With strong support of the Malaysian government, PAWA is proud to be spearheading arm wrestling development in Malaysia and the region. September 2014 was a historical moment when in Lithuania, PAWA was awarded the hosting rights for the 37th WAF World Armwrestling Championship (WAC) 2015. This year from the 26th of September to 4th October 2015, the 37th WAC will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. PAWA is proud to be bringing the 37th World Armwrestling Championship to further develop and promote arm wrestling for Malaysia, SEA and the world. ”

The World Armwreslting Federation (WAF) would like to officially invite your country to attend the 37th World Armwrestling Championship and the World Para Armwrestling Championship which will be held from 27th of September to the 3rd of October 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
2015 World Armwrestling Championship will be hosted by Malaysian Armwrestling Association (PAWA) in the name of Ahmad Badrulhisam Che Kasim as President of the Association. They are prepared to receive over 50 participating countries and more than 1500 competitors.

” World Armwrestling Federation finally determined the place for XXXVII World Armwrestling Championship. The host country of WAC 2015 became Malaysia, for which voted a majority of those present. Presenting the country, Assen Hadzhitodorov noted that Malaysia is a convenient country with first-class resorts, which doesn’t take fee for visa. Moreover, the Malaysian Association is ready to provide contracts for live broadcast with a company, that is broadcasting Formula 1 events.
Arm wrestling in Malaysia appeared recently – just 10 years ago. But by this time we organized a lot of tournaments. So we decided to host the World Cup. More over, our government fully supports our initiative and is ready to contribute significantly to its realization”- said vice-president of the Malaysian Armwrestling Association Fadhli Zil. ”
