In the third episode of AMC’s Game of Arms, the Sacramento Arm Pullers lock up with the Erie Wrecking Crew. The main event was a match pitting one of the best on the world, 9-time world champion Travis Bagent of Erie, against California’s Tom Nelson, 5-time national champion. Bagent and Nelson have a long history together and according to the show, Bagent has beaten Nelson every time. Nelson says he feels it’s his destiny to become a world champion, and that the path leads right through Bagent.

Game of Arms episode 2 recap

In the second episode of the AMC reality show on the sport of arm wrestling, Game of Arms, the Kansas City Rolling Thunder travels to Louisiana to take on the Baton Rouge Roughnecks. And it was a rough time for the Roughnecks: KC’s Don Underwood beat BR’s Craig Tullier 3-0, KC’s Bill Lodgsdon beat BR’s Jerry Avants 3-2, KC’s Ethan Fritsche beat BR’s Turbo Borrows and KC’s Nick Zinna beat BR’s Larry Alexie 3-0. In the main event, multi-world champion KC’s Andrew “Cobra” Rhodes took on BR’s Matt “Chop” Bertrand. Chop won the first two rounds, then Cobra won the third in a grueling 80-second pull. They go to the straps in the fourth after a slip and Chop takes it. It was a moral victory for the Roughnecks, as Cobra is considered a living legend in the sport, and had he won, it would have been a 5-0 sweep over Baton Rouge.

Game of Arms episode 1 recap

The debut episode of AMC’s new reality series on arm wrestling, Game of Arms, opens with the match between NY’s Mike Selearis and CA’s Kenny Hughes. We then go back in time, looking at the members of each team, their camaraderie, sacrifices, and training. At an abandoned repair shop in Stockton, Calif., the two 5-man teams square off. NY’s Rob Bigwood beats CA’s Allen Fisher, CA’s Tom Nelson beats NY’s Mike Ayello, CA’s Luke Kindt beats NY’s Dan Fortuna, and NY’s Kevin Nelson. in teh last match, Hughes gets off to a nice lead of 2-0 over Selearis, before Selearis comes charging back for two of his own. With the score tied going onto the final pull, Hughes appears to have Selearis nearly finished when the NY madman slips out. The ref initially scores it for Hughes, then reverses himself, calling it a legit slip. The strap comes out, and Selearis pins Hughes.
