Fast becoming one of the most anticipated events in the Australian Armwrestling calender, the 2013 FitX Armwrestling Cup certainly provided all the intensity and excitement expected from our invited competitors. This competition also saw the level of strength, competitive fire, and technical proficiency once again take another huge leap forward for the sport in this country, setting the bar ever higher for those wishing to compete and excel amidst fierce rivalry.

March 10th 2013 at the FitX Sports & Fitness Expo in Melbourne, and the challenge was set to beat the greatest armwrestler of all time, John Brzenk, in an armwrestling match for $1000 cash. ” During FitX : Sports and Fitness Expo 2013 here in Melbourne, Australia, legendary arm wrestler John Brzenk was challenged by 24 competitors and whoever could defeat him would earn themselves a nice cool $1000!

John breezed through the first 23 virtually unscathed and then stepped up European strongman Lars Rørbakken for what was to be one of the most epic arm wrestle tussles!

Phil Rasmussen ► Armwrestling John – Engin: ” What what a day at FitX today, we were treated to an amazing and intense match between John and huge strongman Lars Rørbakken from Norway, after John had pulled 25 other guys back to back and a massive and pumped Lars stepped up to the plate pushing John to the edge with a huge shoulder press off the start taking John an inch from the pad, slip to straps, and another war with John staying on the outside of his hand and finally bringing him back over with a press finish. Amazing match to watch in person! ”
