Ultimate Armwrestling League:

” The UAL is excited to announce UAL IV this Saturday Aug 24th in Las Vegas NV at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. In light of everything that has happened with another organization we have decided to hold an event last minute for those of you that traveled and spent your hard earned money to compete in this Sport! We understand there is a lot of confusion that is out there but rest assure UAL will hold an event. We are not at liberty to speak on behalf of the other organization all we know is they have cancelled an event that was scheduled to take place at Stoney’s Rockin Country on the same date. We have spoken to Stoney himself and he wishes all Armwrestlers nothing but the best . There will be no PPV with the UAL, however our in-house production team will be onsite filming promo videos for future events. We are looking at a couple of Ultimate Match Up’s and possibly a live stream of the event for those of you at home.

Maybe Drenk can set up an Overall for a years supply ! “

John R Brzenk ► Armwrestling John – Engin: ” I really hope they decide on a Overall round. …I’m pulling 220 class ….but i would love to test the arm on ALL the superheavyweights this weekend !!!

I was asked … I said Yes, no brainer proposal for me ! I’m getting better … I was planning in pulling 220 … But under the new conditions and lack of big money incentive i would love to see where I’m at and where Devon is at !!! Friendly challenge … Better take your chance while I’m still weak Devon 🙂 no pressure 🙂

I’ll even go best of 10 🙂

And of course a side bet of hotdogs ! A full package ! “

John R Brzenk ► Armwrestling John – Engin: ” no worries Devon .. Just thought it would be a good easy time to test it out .. If your three months away from being 100 percent I’m sure you wouldn’t have any problem with me … I’m still very slow going .. I might just decide to play poker instead ! Your really ready to Risk that left title against me ??? 🙂 pretty courageous of you 🙂

No I didn’t know you weren’t pulling. Right handed ! Robert asked me based on the hotdog comment ! “

INTERVIEW: John Brzenk │by Nino Salvatore Fernandez, August 2013

Nino Salvatore Fernandez – John Brzenk │Photo Source: spainarmwrestler.blogspot.com.es
Many thanks to Nino Salvatore Fernandez for this interview with John Brzenk.
This is just a fragment, read the entire interview on: spainarmwrestler.blogspot.com.es

-1. How much time do you spend training and how did you get to know this sport and be interested in it?
I spend about one to two days a week practicing on a regulation table with other good armwrestlers that live in the Utah area.
My father introduced me to the sport at the early age of thirteen. Even though I armwrestled like any other young boy at that age, it was my father who got me into the professional side of the sport.

-2. What armwrestler do you admire most and why?
I admire the wrestler who sticks with it. Week in, and week out. while still getting beat by most of their competitors. It’s really easy to stick with something if you have a talent for it, but it’s a real love and passion when everything comes a little bit harder.

-3. What are your expectations in this sport?
I continue to enjoy the people I meet because of this sport. That and practicing week in and out with local friends is the best part of any sport. It’s the common goals and working together at times to reach these goals that makes sport so worthwhile.

-4. What other sports do you practice?
No other sport at this time …

-5. What advice would you give to the young boys and girls who start with this sport?
To start slow …Rome wasn’t built in a day. It takes time. Enjoy the training and learning. This is the best part, and getting better will come with time and dedication.

-6. Apart from this sport… what other objectives do you have for your future?
To stay healthy, and inform people of what I have enjoyed about this sport. At this point in my life I don’t have any new earth shattering goals … Staying within my limits and being injury free is something I strive for at this point.

-7. What armwrestling tecnique do you think is the best?
There is no best. They’re all good for different situations. And different competitors. Being good at all the angles is the key to becoming more successful than the next guy.

John R Brzenk ► Armwrestling John – Engin: 190 will be a tough amount of weight for Todd to lose …if he can maintain 80 percent of his strength I don’t think he will have to much of a problem !!! there are a couple guys that live across the ocean that could give him a run …not sure if they are willing to take the chance to fly all the way to Vegas to find out though !

Denis Cyplenkov vs. Devon Larratt – debate

Starting from the original Denis CYPLENKOV vs. Devon LARRATT drawing / sketch, many fans started to state their opinions about a possible outcome:

Denis Cyplenkov vs. Devon Larratt – Rubber4Power │ Image Source: Teoretik Teoretik-Armrestlinga
The truth is that our sport is full of surprises and no matter what the fans of Denis Cyplenkov or Devon Larratt believe, the only way to find out what will happen is to actually see the matches.

Here it is what the legend John Brzenk (who pulled both armwrestlers in the past) said right after he saw the original Denis CYPLENKOV vs. Devon LARRATT drawing / sketch:

John Brzenk ► Armwrestling John – Engin:
” Nice drawing … If it ends there … Devon will win 🙂 trust me ! “

And here it is what Engin Terzi wrote, while waiting an answer from Krasimir Kostadinov:

Engin Terzi ► Armwrestling John – Engin:
” right hand i would vote on Denis.left hand i believe first 2 round goes to Denis but not sure about the 3 round..so i would say 50-50..if Denis would be smart enough to save his power before the start then Denis, and if he can not save his power before the start then Devon.. “
