And talking about Elo rating, we should not forget that the top chess players are actually very active… In order to retain your Elo rating in chess you really need to be active and play vs. top rated players in tournaments… This is almost impossible to do in armwrestling, considering that many top armwrestlers compete 1-2 times/year against other top armwrestlers…
Levan Saginashvili, although he doesn’t compete very often, is regarded by most armwrestlers as being no.1… If a top armwrestler is not motivated financially, he will not compete often because he doesn’t have reasons to do it…
