The WAF decided to introduce junior age classification. Next year World Championships (in Poland) will be conducted due to these regulations.
Division into two age classes of male and female juniors were introduced.
The younger class – up to 18 years.
The older class – up to 21 years.
Weight classes in girls up to 18 years: 45; 50; 55; 60; 65; 70; +70 kg;
Weight classes in boys up to 18 years: 50; 55; 60; 65; 70; 75; +80 kg;
Weight classes in girls up to 21 years: 50; 55; 60; 65; 70; +70 kg;
Weight classes in boys up to 21 years: 55; 60; 65; 70; 75; 80; 85; 90; +90 kg;
