George Charalampopoulos is an athlete who has been competing successfully in many different sports. The list is impressive: Greco-Roman Wrestling, Weightlifting, Bodybuilding, and for years armwrestling (bras de fer). Βelow we will indicate the discrimination in Hellenic Champions-European and worldwide level.

In Weightlifting (1985-2001):

National record in 1992 at age 17 (which until today has not been refuted)

• 45 gold medals
• 21 silver medals
• 8 bronze medals

Coach Diploma holder and occupation Permit by the Ministry of culture

In Bodybuilding:

1st place in Cup p. e. p. d Bodybuilding Central Greece (Lamia 1995) in the men Bodybuilding category 95 + Kg, at age 20:

Armwrestling (Bras de fer):

In armwrestling he has been participating since 1997 and has managed more than 36 first places in Greek Champions and Tournament in the following categories:

110 + left hand, right hand, OPEN

International:

• 1st place at the Over The Top in Germany-heavy class
• 1st place in Gladiator Night in Switzerland
• 3rd place in Gladiator Night in
• 4th position in Switzerland Golemova Ruka in Czechia
• 5th place in the European Championship in Norway
• 7th place in the World Championship in Brazil 

Let’s learn some extra things about George Charalampopoulos.

He was born on January 25, 1975 in Athens, with origin from the village Seliana Achaia-Ancient Phelloi.

At the age of 8 years old he made his first steps in sports with the sport of Wrestling in Greco Roman Athletic Club Atromitos Peristeri to 11 years.

13 jumps in weightlifting and Athletic Club Theseus Peristeri. At the age of 14 he starts to participate in races where he had considerable discrimination.

At the age of 15 he entered the national team of weight lifting. He continued with many national cups, international tournaments, Championship N. of Greece, and many other tournaments.

His acquaintance with Elias Mpazinas was an important part of his career because he was the one who persistently for years told him to try Armwrestling. Bazinas thought that Charalambopoulos was born for this sport. At the first match that took place in the region of Agios Dimitrios in 1994 he was defeated but this made him work harder towards his big success.

In 1995, as mentioned above, he took part in Bodybuilding in Lamia and won 1st place.

In 1998 he returns dynamically and constantly comes out first in Armwrestling 100 kg. He competed  with athletes 30 pounds heavier than him.

At the last Cup Championship 2013 George Charalampopoulos by winning the best athletes of Greek Armwrestling, he won 4 cups from all 4 categories(110+right hand, left hand, OPEN left & right).

Remains in active action of Armwrestling continuing the cruel and methodical work with next aims:

• the Armwrestling National Championship 2014 in Athens (13/4/14 of Kallithea).
• the European Championship Armwrestling 2014 in Azerbaijan
• the World Championship Armwrestling 2015 in Las Vegas.
