(A Fine of $50 US will be charged to Countries, which do not send their registration on time)

NOTICE TO ALL: Countries will only be allowed to make 5 changes to the

Registration Form once they have sent it to the General Secretary. Every change made after March 02,will be fined $20 US for each change made.

 

TUESDAY, April 04, 2015 – TEAM REGISTRATION & WEGHT-IN

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1) Only one person per country & translator will be allowed to enter the Register Room.

2) The Country Representative must bring with them the following:

Completed Team Registration Form

Passport or Photo ID for each competitor

$40 or $20 fee per class per arm per competitor in US dollarsonly.

If any of these items are missing, the Country will need to come back when they

have the complete Team Registration. No exceptions will be made.

3) No Countries will be registered for the Championships after 1:00 p.m.

TEAM WEIGH-IN – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1) If a Country is late for their Weigh-in time, they must wait until the last team has been

weighed-in before the team can be weighed-in. PLEASE do not be late.

2) English speaking Team Manager or Captain must be present during the full weigh-in

time.

3) Only 1 team at a time will be allowed into the weigh-in room. All other teams must wait

in a separate area for their Team to be called.

4) Each team must come to weigh-in in the following manner:

junior girls 45kg,50kg, and so on

junior boys 50kg,55kg, and so on

Youth girls 50 kg, 55 kg, and so on

Youth boys 55 kg, 60kg..and so on

Ladies 50 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg ……and so on

Men’s 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg …….and so on

5) Once a person is weighed-in they will then go to have their photo taken.

Once the photo is taken the competitor then leaves the weigh-in area immediately.

6) The Team Manager will stay until his last competitor has weighed-in and has had his

photo taken.

 

Please Note:

If a competitor does not make weight, they have until 5:00 p.m.,

April06, to make weight.

A test scale will be made available for competitors

A Competitor only has two attempts at official weigh-in scale

A Competitor may only weigh-in between other countries

 

Official Event Badge:

Any Officials with a Country must be present at Weigh-in to have photo and badge prepared.

Badges will be given to the Team Captain at the competition days.

” ARMWRESTLING

The 2015 Arnold Classic Armwrestling Challenge will test which of the world’s top athletes in arm sports has the most “pull” during the Arnold Sports Festival.

Each year the titans of arm sports gather inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center on the Arnold EXPO stage for two days of armsport action. The preliminary round is Friday, March 6 from 9:30-11 a.m. and the thrilling final round is Saturday, March 7, from 9-10 a.m.

“Armwrestling has been on the rise in the US with the popularity of the AMC show Game of Arms,” said Denise Wattles, event co-director. “ Many of the shows stars are returning Arnold Champions.”

Champions competing include Craig Tullier, Bill Logsdon, Micheal Selearis, Don Underwood, Cobra Rhodes, Richard Lupkes, George Iszakouits and Tamara Mitts.

All competitors had to qualify by winning a national or world level event.

“The Arnold is the premiere arm sport event in the world,” said Fairfax Hackley, event co-director. “The top athletes from Brazil, Canada, Kazakhstan, Poland, Republic of Georgia, South Korea and the United States will compete including many world champions.”

The Arnold Classic Armwrestling Challenge attracts the world’s best “arm sport” athletes, all of which must qualify to compete at the Arnold Sports Festival.

The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) is pleased to announce that the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has been granted the status of “IPC Recognised International Federation (IF)”. Para-Armwrestling is the new approved by IPC terminology in regard with WAF Armwrestling Paralympic Movement.

” As previously communicated the USAF US National Championships will be a tested anti doping event. We aspire to be completely transparent about the substances that will be tested for as such they are listed below for this purpose. All of these substances are commonly banned in sports all over the world. Please keep in mind this is a sport not a debate about an individual’s right to make their own choices. If you want to compete you must be compliant with these rules and banned substances.
Athletes must be prepared to detail any substances, vitamins, supplements or medications that they are taking. In the event that you draw a test you will be asked to detail all of these substances to ensure we have a clear understanding of what you are taking and why.
Any athlete that believes they have a Physician endorsed medical need to be using these substances must obtain approval from the USAF well in advance of the event. This can only be facilitated after the athlete has provided all requested documentation and substantiation to the USAF then allowing the USAF to consider the athletes request for a Therapeutic Use Exemption, (TUE). The USAF reserves the right to be the sole determiner of granting a TUE. To clarify, simply because you have a prescription for Testosterone does not mean the USAF will allow you to compete while using the substance. The intent is to ensure safety and create parity in the sport, as such a prescription does not grant any athlete the right to be enhanced while competing at the USAF event.

The top three athletes in each of the men’s open categories, both right and left handed will draw to randomly determine who will be tested. All of these finals athletes must have their photo IDs with them at all times.

If a top three athlete is not present to draw for testing, that athlete will automatically fail the drug screen process and be sanctioned accordingly.

Any athlete that attempts to evade, tamper with or otherwise refuses to comply with any portion of the anti-doping process, testing, requirements or testing instructions will automatically fail the drug screen process and be sanctioned accordingly. ”
