TOP-16 is ahead. You will take part in the project. Tell us about it in details.

TOP-16… I am very excited and very glad at the same time that I will participate. Now I can say for sure that I am not sitting idly by, so I will be ready for everything.

The armfight between Tsyplenkov and you is coming next year. What do you think, could you overcome Denis?

I am ready to fight with Denis in left hand. My right will be ready for the TOP-16 start. I will use all my potential to win with Denis.

Your victory over Zhokh was confident, but many people still give first round to Oleg. Do you want to meet again with Zhokh in an armfight?

I’d like to fight with Oleg once again. He is a very talented young man. We both weren’t fresh when we fought in Vegas. If there will be another armfight between us, it will erase all doubts.

Whom would you like to fight most of all?

I’d like to fight with Tsyplenkov, Usmanli and Binnie in left hand. And it would be interesting to fight with Tsyplenkov and Usmanli too and Voyevoda and Todd

Devon Larratt: “In my opinion no human on the planet knows more about armwrestling than Engin Terzi. He is the one man whose opinions you should hold over all others”.

From what I remember, this is an older quote from Devon Larratt, but the comments are new:

Besmir Elezi i agree but, what about J.Brzenk i think he knows a lot of armwrestling techniques more than all armwrestlers in history…

Trần Duy Khánh Well, Besmir Elezi, I often hear the phrase “John Brzenk IS Armwrestling”. So I guess it can be interpreted as “…no human on the planet knows more about John Brzenk than Engin Terzi”

Besmir Elezi i dont know but I think engin can tell : “brzenk is GOD of armresling”

Engin Terzi no one at the table knows more than John knows.. I believe here Devon meant the overall knowledge (of table training, assistant trainings, results, analysing of the matches etc).. John, Gashevski, Janis,Osetians, Devon and a few others can be mentioned as the most knowledgable pullers.. having extraordinary abilities to be succesful in our sport and being knowledgable enough to help others to become champions ,are two different things.i know enough to win bunch of worlds & europeans and to train more than 10 people who became World & European Champions..i would challenge anyone about the assistant training methods and their correct applications..John has also told me that i am more knowledgable than him but he probably didnt mean the technical knowledge at the table..he is the best by far when its about the table which is the most important thing..we,the rest of us, need assistant trainings because we are not as good as him to get what we need from the table alone..i personally believe that i could have gotten all i need from the table time alone but only if i was as genetically gifted as John, but i am not since i was losing against the girls even when i was a 16 years old young guy..trust me, you can teach someone only as much as he-she can understand and apply..so after a point its all about each individual’s own intelligence, hard work and genetic..no one is knowledgable enough to create miracles with someone who doesnt have the mental and physical potential to become succesful..

Engin Terzi no Besmir, i wouldnt call anyone god except the ONE who created me..but yes,John = Armwrestling !

We consulted a masters level referee, and he told us on a DQ, the puller finishes last and his upcoming matches are scored as losses. Andranik finished with a 1-3 record in the 165’s and a 1-3 record in the 187’s. His name has been added to our results. “

Denis Cyplenkov before Nemiroff World Cup 2013

INTERVIEW: Denis Cyplenkov before Nemiroff World Cup 2013 │ by Sutor Strong

Source: Sutor Strong

Roland Kovalenoks ► Armwrestling John – Engin:

” I just watched this entire video (yes I speak Russian) and I have to say I thought of Denis as an asshole before. I no longer feel this way. He is a pretty smart person and at this point in his life he have to choose whats more important, paying his mortgage, truck payment etc or being a good athlete! He said sports are no longer his priority because his bank is not giving him any favors, his payments are due monthly. They asked if he can beat Devon easily and he said definitely no! Maybe first and second round only, he has a ton of respect for him. I have to say if Devon wants to really prove he is the best, he better do it soon before Denis no longer compete. Yes Devon it is called Nemirov or A1 where you show who is Number#1 Just words will not prove. I am willing to pay good part of your trip if you can man up and go.

I have to agree its better Paid in Russia. And that’s what Dennis mentioned to He don’t have to take that much time off work when he competes locally. He said it’s sad to see that most athletes don’t make enough to pay to fix the injuries. So according to what I understood from him I don’t think we’re going to see him on this side of the ocean.

I think we have to agree that this sport even at professional level is a hobby It does not pay anyones bills. Also something needs to be done to make the sport more enjoyable for the rest of the public. The long set up restarts etc. make it boring for most people. One of my friends commented it’s like watching paint dry “

Terence Opperman

INTERVIEW: Terence Opperman │by Armpower.NET

Terence Opperman │ Image Source: Armpower.NET
Terence Opperman │ Image Source: Armpower.NET

You’ve already participated in Nemiroff, how do you remember it?

My first time was in 2009, taking fourth place in the 95 kg category. I’m very pleased with that score.

Now you’re entering again.

Yes, I intend to fight in the under 95 kg category.

What do your preparations look like?

Everything is going according to the plan. I’m paying special attention to training the hook. World Championship, that is, the fight with Krasimir, showed me that my hook is weak and needs more attention.

What goals do you set for yourself in order to prepare?

I’m working long and hard to prepare for Nemiroff. I’m now at the last stage of these preparations. I’m expecting to qualify in the first five in my category.

Maybe it’s a trivial question, but I’ll ask: can John Brzenk reclaim his old position as the world champion of armwrestling?

I believe he will be first in his category, or at least in the top three.

The spotlight is on Denis Cyplenkov, every armwrestler wants to defeat him. Can anyone succeed?

No, Denis has no competition. It’s not just Nemiroff, but in the entire world Cyplenkov is unmatched by anyone.

What about Larratt? Opinions about the potential score of their armfight are divided. What do you think, which side will be victorious?

I’m sure that Devon is not a problem for Denis. I’m expecting 6:0 for Cyplenkov.

This is just a fragment, read the full interview taken by Artur Grigorjan on: Armpower.NET – TERENCE OPPERMAN: “CYPLENKOV IS UNMATCHED BY ANYONE”
