In the last article from armsport-inva.com it was written that the European Armwrestling Championships for Disabled Persons will take place in Poland, 09-16 June 2014.
In this new article from IronWorld.ru we learn that the European Armwrestling Championships for Disabled Persons will be held at the Gniew Castle, Poland – where last year was held the 13th POLISH CUP 2012, Gniew Castle – 15-16 December 2012.
Because the number of disabled competitors is usually small, this year the European Armwrestling Championships for Disabled will be open to receive disabled competitors from Asia, Africa and America.

Alexander Filimonov of the new federation in arm wrestling among disabled – IAFD

It is known that in the next year, European and World Championships in arm wrestling among the disabled athletes will carry the new federation – IAFD ( http://www.armsport-inva.com/ ). We decided to find out details of the president IAFD Alexander Filimonov.

IRON WORLD: European Championship will be held in Poland?
Alexander Filimonov: Yes! For us, a very important quality start of the new format of the competition for the disabled. And that quality is guaranteed professional team of Igor Mazurenko. Championship will be held in the castle itself, which already held the championship Polish armsportu. We will do everything possible to maintain the level of organization of the event, which we all saw at the World Cup this year. Will be organized Broadcast on TV and online. The stage, sound, lights – all will meet the highest quality standards. And all of this money will be focused only on athletes with disabilities.

JM: It is known that the category of disabled athletes smaller ones. How do you plan to deal with it?
AF: This problem does exist. We have identified several areas of its solutions. First, the European Championship in Poland will open. It will be open to arm wrestlers from Asia, Africa and America. Second, we plan to abolish the quota of two people from the same country in the category. Do not forget that the championship will be attended not only athletes with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, but also with visual and hearing impairment. Of course, they will fight alone.
An important point – just weight categories. Now they are not. Too much difference between them – 15 lbs!
The women – on the contrary. A lot of categories, but almost all empty. In junior same situation.
We plan to Congress IAFD in Moscow to discuss and perhaps adopt new weight classes for all groups of disabled athletes. However, on the European and world championships in 2014 will remain the same weight class. So we agreed on the Directorate WAF.

JM: What categories do you think would be optimal?
AF: I do not propose to invent a bicycle and we take the weight categories NEMIROFF World Cup and adjust them a little bit.

For example, for adults with visual and hearing impairment, weight categories might look like this:

Men (fighting the right, left hand): 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, 95 kg, +95 kg.

Women (fight right, left hand): 52 kg, 65 kg, +65 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, +86 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 52 kg, 65 kg, +65 kg.

For persons with disabilities served (separately for wheelchairs and those who fight standing) – Class ARM1 (athletes, moving constantly in a wheelchair and competing seated):

Men (fighting the right, left hand): 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, +86 kg.

Women (fight right, left hand): 65 kg, +65 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 70 kg, 78 kg, +78 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 52 kg, +52 kg.

Class ARM2 – Athletes competing Standing

Men (fighting the right, left hand): 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, +86 kg.

Women (fight right, left hand): 65 kg, +65 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 70 kg, 78 kg, +78 kg.

Juniors (16-18 years old, the fight on the right, the left hand): 52 kg, +52 kg.

Invite all interested parties to discuss this very important topic!
We will look at all the options suggested categories at the meeting team officials at the European Championships in Poland. We choose the best solution and will submit it for discussion at the congress in Moscow.

JM: At the European Championships and the 2014 World already is a division of disabled athletes from Submitted to those who will fight sitting in wheelchairs as well as those who will fight for the ordinary table stand?
AF: Yes, of course! And the key word here – in wheelchairs. Everyone who enters the classification of sedentary desk, will compete in wheelchairs organizers. The chairs of struggle will never happen again .

Dear friends!

Please be informed that in June of this year, created and registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the International Association of Public Associations “armsportu International Federation of Persons with Disabilities” (hereinafter – the Federation).

In accordance with the Articles of Association, one of the purposes of the Federation is to consolidate efforts to implement the program in armsportu competition of the International Paralympic Committee, International Sports Committee of the International Federation of the Deaf and Blind Sports.

The founders’ MFALOVZ “have become the leading country in the world armsportu – Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Kazakhstan, Belarus.

Elected president of the Federation Alexander Filimonov – President of the Russian Association of armsportu and vice-president of the European Federation of arm wrestling.

The Board of the Federation also includes:

First Vice-President – founder of the tournament A1 – Nicholas Mishta, Igor Mazurenko (Poland), Vladimir Petrenko (Ukraine), Alexei Ashapatov (Russia) – four-time Paralympic champion, Andrey Petrov (Russia) and others.

Since 2014 all competitions for athletes with disabilities are served, as well as the visually impaired and people with hearing will be held at the same time and under the auspices of the Federation.

The decision to create a separate armsportu International Federation of Disabled Persons was taken due to the neglect of the World Federation of armsportu (hereinafter – WAF) the fundamental principle of the Paralympic movement – the creation of equal conditions for competition with disabilities. At the European and world championships held WAF, was completely absent classification system for the level of disability. It fights at the table allowed the athletes, for example, is served with intellectual disabilities!

Federation, with the support of the Russian Paralympic Committee, has developed and adopted a classification that fully complies with the requirements of the International Paralympic Committee.

The International Association of Public Associations “armsportu International Federation of Persons with Disabilities” – is the only one officially registered by the International Federation engaged in the development and organization of armspora competition among athletes with disabilities are served, the visually impaired and the hearing impaired.

European Championship 2014 will be held in Poland, 09-16 June, and the World Championships in Russia on November 13-16.

We call upon all the presidents of the national federations to participate in the new Federation! Remain vacant three vice-presidents!

For the first time in the history of arm wrestling, we have a chance to reach a new level of development of the favorite sport and to take its rightful place in the international Paralympic movement!

We are open to any suggestions to improve the rules and format of the competition among the disabled athletes!

Let us together make a decent arm wrestling for people with disabilities!

President Alexander Filimonov
