Robert Drenk: UAL Athletes are allowed to compete in ANY open tournaments, wearing UAL shirts

Robert Drenk │ Image Source: Robert Drenk
Robert Drenk │ Image Source: Robert Drenk

I wonder if this rule also applies to , considering that he is a UAL contracted athlete, and he will compete at . At previous A1 Russian Open tournaments () all athletes wore A1 shirts.

Robert Drenk – northeastboard:

All contracted athletes are allowed to compete in ANY open tournaments (non invitational, non one on one or round robin events) so long as they are wearing an official UAL Jersey or Shirt during the entire event and competition. Any athletes not complying will be in breach of contract. We are opening the rules up but kindly ask that you support the league supporting you. Any questions please feel free to Re-read your contracts or call me directly.

Thanks,

Robert Drenk

_______________________________

Bob,

The shirt is a requirement for a reason, to be honest I’d rather UAL athletes compete in UAL events only but I’m being flexible until our TV series is launched allowing them to compete in outside events only if they stick to the uniform policy in their contracts.

Thanks
_______________________________

Jesse,

Because Armwars is an affiliate that will not broadcast in the US! My agreement with Neil is just that.
_______________________________

All the more reason it doesn’t work for UAL athletes. No UAL athletes can be filmed by any other production company for any other TV series.

UAL Effective Immediately

Our primary focus will be on our up and coming TV series, meaning the UAL 7 tournament will be postponed until further notice.

The UAL is hosting the USAF Nationals on June 26th-28th @ Harrah’s, Reno and may have a few surprise attractions.
It’s important to have folks book early to lock in the great $59 rate. *****Quantities are limited*****

Call – in: 1-888-726-6311 / code: S06USAF
Here is the internet code:
www.totalrewards.com/hotel-reservations?propCode=REN&groupCode=S06USAF

IMPORTANT READ BELOW

We would like to thank our loyal athletes and supporters. Effective IMMEDIATELY we’re welcoming any athlete (signed or not) to participate in any UAL tournament with money pay-outs at the same level as the contracted athletes. However the UMU’s for Championship Belts and Major Prize Money which is now being scheduled for National Television will be limited to signed UAL Athletes only! In addition any UAL contracted athlete can now compete in any open event with the exception of any round robin, supermatch or ultimate matchup. If you would like to compete in a Super Match, round robin, special invitational only event or Ultimate Match Up outside of the UAL you must get prior approval from UAL Management and represent UAL by wearing it’s branded shirt at the specified event. UAL athletes will also be allowed with pre approval to compete in The Armwars Super Series in Europe! We realize that our negotiations have taken longer than expected. UAL wants to ensure sustainability for our great Sport and the new objective is to create a win-win for all armwrestlers as we explode the Sport and the Ultimate Armwrestling League!

Devon Larratt on Arm Wrestling Nation Radio 14 March 2014

INTERVIEW: Devon Larratt on Arm Wrestling Nation Radio │ 14 March 2014

Devon Larratt talks about the 2014 Australian Tour, armwrestling training, rehab after injury, tendonitis and other armwrestling topics.

Devon said he is learning to armwrestle all over again with his right arm, because he is still recovering after the injury and the surgery he had at the right elbow. His right arm doesn’t feel like it is the same arm it was before, at practice other armwrestlers told him his arm feels like Swiss cheese – “it definitely has some holes, but there’s still some cheese there” :). He still has a lot of mental barriers that he has to break down for the right arm. He believes it will be a time span of years until he will be able to say his right arm it is where it was before (2010 or so). But Devon doesn’t plan to stop pulling, and he imagines that his right arm will evolve into a different thing, something good.

Devon Larratt said his left arm feels Mega, the left arm never ever felt better in his entire armwrestling career. He calls it the “new right”. He wants to pull an event with his left arm. He wants to pull (left arm) Denis Cyplenkov, Christian Binnie, Wagner Bortolato. Devon asked any promoter to call him if he wants to set it up.

Devon says he loves Game of Arms, and the fact that the show will make people (non-armwrestlers) like armwrestling as they fall in love with the storyline. And only after that people will be ready to be introduced to big armwrestling leagues like UAL – Ultimate Armwrestling LeagueARM WARSPAL – Professional Armwrestling League.

Craig Soubliere asked Devon if something even came close to anything with a big armwrestling league. Devon replied that he doesn’t want to be restricted at this time, and this is why he hesitated to sign with Robert Drenk and Bill Collins from the UAL – Ultimate Armwrestling League, although he loves what they are doing. Devon said he tried to get Denis Cyplenkov with the help of Neil Pickup from ARM WARS, or with the help of PAL – Professional Armwrestling League, but it didn’t work out yet.

Devon said that although there is a lot of talk about the Top 16 tournament, his honest opinion is that he doesn’t even feel that it will happen.

Devon said he doesn’t have anything 100% concrete planned yet, but admitted it his fault as well because he is hard to be nailed down sometimes. To forget the frustration of not being able to get on a major armwrestling event, he tries to stay focused on the reason he came into this sport: because he enjoys armwrestling, he didn’t came to be paid, he didn’t came to be famous. He is cool with pooling into his garage until 75, if there’s all it is. 🙂 But he certainly want to do more.

Next Devon talks about the Ottawa High Hookers – which became a very strong armwrestling team has became and the fact that some of them will have Super Matches at 2014 MIKE GOULD CLASSIC.

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman spoke with Robert Drenk, the founder of the Ultimate Armwrestling League (UAL).

“The Ultimate Armwrestling League is the premier arm wrestling league in the United States of America,” he said in this interview, which was recorded by phone Saturday. “What we are is an organization with contacts to over 1000 professional arm wrestlers in the United States of America and outside the United States of America.”

He continued, “What we are is an organized sports league with athletes that come to compete in tournaments and eventually become signed contracted athletes and have an opportunity at really big prize money and title belts doing ultimate matchups, which are one-on-one events, the best of the best.”

Help Brad Thomas through a very difficult time │ PHOTOS, VIDEO

Brad Thomas - broken left arm, in the hospital │ Photo Source: Brad Thomas
Brad Thomas – broken left arm, in the hospital │ Photo Source: Brad Thomas

Brad Thomas broke his left arm at UAL 6. Although his arm is looking much better now, his problems are not over yet because he lost his job, he has many medical bills and his CDL (Commercial driver’s license) is now revoked:

Brad Thomas
Arm wrestling is definitely not for me!!! I broke my arm and then lost my job due to my arm, then doc says I’m on a weight restriction so that limits the job world, then unemployment turns me down, then I got medical bills rolling in and now I just got a letter in the mail saying they are revoking my CDLs because of medical issues!!!! Can I catch a break!!! I really hope things start looking up real soon!!!! I definitely need some prayers!!!

If you want to help Brad Thomas, send a check made out to Brad Thomas to the UAL office (15641 Chemical Ln std D Huntington Beach CA 92649) and Robert Drenk will double that amount, in order to help Brad:

Robert Drenk Brad Thomas I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m willing to help out, here’s the deal:
I will “match” any and all donations that the Armwrestling community is willing to help with (up to $2000) so that means if we can get all of our friends to pitch in up to that we as a community can help with at least $4000! I need to receive the checks no later than March 15th please.
Please mail your checks made out to Brad Thomas to the UAL office (15641 Chemical Ln std D Huntington Beach CA 92649) I will mail out one Check from me matching the total of everyone else’s on the 16th of March.

I’ll hope things get better for you my friend!

From 1:49 in the next video is the moment when Brad Thomas broke his arm, it’s not very pleasant to watch. 🙁
