If anyone is curious as to how to build up anticipation towards, and promote the event and sport itself leading up to an armwrestling competition, Murray McKay, WA Arm Wrestling CEO and Australian arm wrestling pioneer, is the man to ask. Murray had promised to all who threatened to attend the 2013 WA State Arm Wrestling Championships that he was going to put on an event that would raise the bar (yet again) for state level competition in this country. It’s hard to argue with such a claim after the spectacle witnessed by all in attendance on June 22, at the WA Italian Club.

AAA is OUT of Daytona Challenge Event

” The Daytona Challenge Event has advertised $10,000 in prize money to be distributed to the armwrestling event. Due to the fact that we were hired to advertise and run this event, we wanted assurance that the prize money was indeed and in fact there, so we asked for assurances.

Simply, we asked that the prize money be made available prior to the start of the event Friday, October 3. The response we received was that H and H Fitness Promotions, Inc. would distribute the prize money on Saturday evening after the contest was finished.

We requested an assurance, especially due to the events pertaining to the Vegas event surrounding the prize money, and asked that the prize money be brought to the athlete’s meeting Friday, October 3 at 9am to be counted out as a show of good faith.

To date, we have received no response whatsoever!

As some of you may be aware, another organization was originally “hired” to do the event before we were. After speaking with the owner of that organization, he had the same problems and concerns we have had regarding this event. He also was not be given any guaranteed assurance that the prize money would be paid.

This event most likely will continue. We are not encouraging anyone not to attend. We are however letting the armwrestling population know well in advance that not one single dime of prize money is guaranteed to be paid. ”

 (Ukraine) won the silver medal in the JUNIOR21 WOMEN LEFT 55 KG class at Euroarm 2013 , and she won the match (which went viral) against Marine Putkaradze (Georgia).
A Georgian armwrestler explained that Marine Putkaradze is deaf (= partially or completely lacking in the sense of hearing), this is why she screamed so loud.

Roman Tsindeliani, who is a native of Republic of Georgia and moved to New Jersey from Russia just a year ago weighed-in at just 150 pounds but was able to win seven weight classes against some of the best arm wrestlers in the world. The only match that Tsindeliani lost during the day was to Bagent, who has more than 150 pounds on him, in the overall left handed category bur during an exhibition maych took down Bagent on Stage “Roman is the best weight for weight arm wrestler I have ever seen in my life,” said Camp. “I’ve been doing this for 33 years and I’ve never seen anything like it.”

After one of his many victories, Tsindeliani, speaking through a translator, was asked about his training regimen, Tsindeliani, who works as a driver, refused to reveal much though. “I have no secrets,” Tsindeliani replied. “I train like everyone does.”

Neil Pickup ► Armwrestling John – Engin: ” Hi Fabio, I hope you & your Family are well mate, please pass on my best to Giovanni, I’m glad to hear that he is in good shape at the moment. In answer to question, no my condition is not great at the moment to be honest mate. 2013 has been a very bad year for me for various reasons & my focus has been away from my own Armwrestling in favour of promoting the ARM WARS events, work & my young family. I gave my best on the day & Paul had to much of a package on the day & was technically sharper than myself at the table. He has been working very hard & has been focused on his Armwrestling & it showed yesterday. He therefore deserved to win in my opinion & he did. I will try to assist him in getting ready for Poland & I believe that in the next few years with continued focus, he has the tools & ability to do BIG things in the 90kg class. Craig Sanders & Peter Henderson also deserve a mention as yesterday both men looked OUTSTANDING. Craig won the overall over Garry Rickett & Alan Greaves & he is READY FOR POLAND !!! Watch for “MIGHTY MAIDEN” “THE BULLET” in Gdynia 😉 “

Todd Hutchings had a good recovery and trained hard after the surgery from December 2012, and now it seems that he is the favorite for the 190 lbs class at World Bar Arm Wrestling Championships │ 24 August 2013, according to his training partner – the legend John Brzenk.

John R Brzenk ► Armwrestling John – Engin: 190 will be a tough amount of weight for Todd to lose …if he can maintain 80 percent of his strength I don’t think he will have to much of a problem !!! there are a couple guys that live across the ocean that could give him a run …not sure if they are willing to take the chance to fly all the way to Vegas to find out though !

” i am sure it is something that i could not do but IMO its not good for armwrestling..

you can train thick handle bar training in many different ways, you dont esspecially need such training.

but its good to balance such long bar with one hand..thick bar helps as well..but the arm angle is not correct for the best shoulder-hand coordination..

when you lower the bar to make your forearm parellel position with floor your shoulder needs to be at some where to create 90 degree angle.. to feel the maximum weight of the bar your forearm needs to be parellel with floor..higher is lesser.. ”
